On December 11th of 2020 our owner and founder Jacob Hurl was critically injured in the 555 Teeple Terrace Building Collapse. Jacob had 12 tonnes of concrete, steel, and various other building materials collapse on him. After Jacob’s many surgeries and his 28 day stay in the hospital, he started to think that maybe someone like him could do more than just be a labourer.  He thought about starting Blue Collar Hollar Inc. and for the three years he was off he worked on what he wanted Blue Collar Hollar to be while also recovering from his injuries. He started to realize that Blue Collar men and women need someone to speak up for them. Jacob had his young labouring days taken away from him, but it doesn’t mean his life is over. He thought if he could start with management of construction and teach people how to properly lead a project it would only improve workplace safety, happy employees ,and organization is key if you want to be considered the best of the best of companies. Jacob has decided blue collar workers need a person to go from boot to suit and start improving the companies for the workers because without them, the companies have nothing. Some business owners forget that. Improve for the people that allow you to have the money and life you have. Jacob is doing this business for the people that have given their lives to this country. Without blue collar workers we’d have 2 feet and flat piece of land. If you treat the people that do the work for you good through safety, treating them like people instead of employees you'll have way better results on site.
